Graphic Design and Production Artist

Reports to Art Director

Hourly, non-exempt, full-time, competitive salary, benefits

Overview

We are a creative studio in the licensing industry looking for someone who is energetic and has a positive attitude to fill a production art and design position with room to grow. Our mission is to safeguard the legacy of our creative property and build partnerships that foster brand equity. The office is a collaborative work environment and the person who’s right for this position would be adaptable and a team player.

Role in Studio

Create, collaborate and contribute to creative projects that support the brand or licensing

Core Responsibilities

  • Review product design submissions for licensed product
  • Develop designs or illustrations for partners or in-house creative projects
    • Support key licensees with specially created artwork
    • Clean up or modify existing art
    • Create production ready art assets for studio projects or external partners

Ongoing Duties

  • Work with department teams on various projects
    • Research poses from the strip or asset library
    • Design, letter and color graphics
    • Assist in digitizing and cleaning up art assets for the studio
    • Visual research and development
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree in art related studies and 2+ years related experience
  • General art skillset
    • Coloring, Flatting
    • Lettering and/or Typography, Design
    • Digital clean-up, vector art production
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Mac OS X
  • Strong communication skills and desire to work in a collaborative, team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail
  • Deadline focused
  • High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
  • Ability to communicate clearly across departments and with partners
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
  • May require occasional travel for training or experience
