The Petaluma Arts Center is pleased to announce a call for Entries for the April Exhibition, theNeuwPolitic:  Artists Explore.

AWARDS AVAILABLE FOR WINNERS:  1st place: $1,500.  2nd place: $750.  3rd place: $500. Central and Northern California artists are invited to submit work that explores the current political climate as each artist envisions it.  Interpretations can include any subject matter which the artist believes to be relevant. The art can be abstract or representational, functional, or non-functional.

Now is the time for a much-needed dialogue surrounding politics, and artistic expression provides us with a unique platform to share that dialogue.  Art gives us a voice, it unites, and tells unique stories.   In times of great change and turmoil, art can provide a solace, a human connection across the time spectrum.   Can art help these conversations and facilitate the connections that are so needed now?
