 Statewide, CA, Unknown

Children and teens (and their parents!) need support more than ever during these challenging times. Learn simple and practical art therapy-based tools to connect when words aren’t working, to facilitate understanding and healthy expression of emotions, to develop problem-solving skills, and much more.

This workshop is for anyone with a child in their life, personally or professionally. It is intended for adults only.

This workshop is based on The Innovative Parent: Raising Connected, Happy, Successful Kids through Art, (Ohio University/Swallow Press), the 2019 National Parenting Products Award-winning book by art therapist Erica Curtis, LMFT, ATR-BC and Ping Ho, MA, MPH, Founder & Director of UCLArts & Healing.

Those who sign up for the workshop will receive a special handout with instructions for key activities from the book!

Click here to watch a brief, animated video about the book, which offers examples of the kinds of tools that will be shared in the program. Click here for an article appearing in LA MOM Magazine in which Erica and Ping offer activities for managing difficult feelings with a toddler, a child, and a teen.

Note that this popular workshop is a repeat of the inaugural online offering in 2020.

Saturday, February 20 from 10:30am-noon.
