The Art Department at Santa Rosa Junior College is looking for a part time assistant to supervise student work in our 3D-Design lab (wood shop/metal shop) through the end of the current school year (until May 26, 2017).

Applicant must:

- Be very familiar with a wide range of shop tools and equipment.

- Oversee the safe and efficient use of equipment by students under the supervision of class instructor

- Have some ability to maintain equipment including band saws, table saw, chop saw, drills and other power tools and hand tools.

- Keep shop tools and supplies organized.

Shop contains mostly wood tools, with storage for fasteners, recycled and scrap materials, and a tool cage for hand and portable power tools.

Applicant should be experienced with tools and extremely organized. Duties will include supervising tool use by students for safety and appropriate use, maintaining order of stored tools and supplies, basic maintenance of tools, keeping inventory to track broken or missing tools, and working with instructors to research and order supplies.

Experience and facility with sharpening is a bonus.

Work hours will be 9:00 am - 12:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, through May 26th.
