Santa Rosa Symphony is hiring a String Orchestra Workshop Manager. 

Job Description: Program Manager
Classification: non-exempt, part-time
Reports to: Director of Education
Hours: PT, Saturdays, 8:30-11:30 am. Occasionally until 1 pm or later. Two additional hours per week of remote administrative work.
No hours during June and July.
Hourly Pay: $20/hour
Program Site Location: Sonoma Academy, 2500 Farmer’s Lane, Santa Rosa, CA 95404

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operations
 Manage and coordinate all production details of String Orchestra Workshop (SOW). Assure that all needs are met for every rehearsal, performance or event, including music equipment, procurement and preparation of parts and scores and confirmation of all venue details.
 Act as primary point of contact for SOW students and families.
 Collect SOW forms. Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, instrument loans, fundraising and lesson scholarship accounts.
 Provide on-site supervision of rehearsals, performances and events for SOW. Supervise other youth ensemble rehearsals when necessary due to absence of other Education staff.
 Maintain records of SOW attendance. In collaboration with conductors and coaches, communicate and enforce attendance policies with students and families.
 Maintain accurate and positive communications between parents, youth ensemble members, conductors, coaches, Education Department staff, and various constituencies within the community. Facilitate communication between conductors and coaches, as necessary.

Qualifications:
 Proficiency with windows-based Microsoft office suite software
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community of teachers, staff, community members, school site administration, parents and students
 Ability to work positively with program personnel in a team environment
 Highly organized and ability to multitask under pressure
 Flexibility and experience with collaborative planning/thinking
 Capability to lift musical and school equipment of up to 25 pounds
 Bachelor degree or college credits in Music or Education a plus
