TrashionBarbie: Reclaimed & Reinvented Exhibit and Silent Auction: April 13 - April 29, 2023

Deadline to Enter an application: March 31, 2022

Here’s how to Participate:

1. Come and pick out your Barbie(s), or use a Barbie of your own. We have some used Barbies, Kens, and friends to choose from at the Center. NOTE: We do not have as large of a selection as in past years so if you find yourself with dolls of the same size or smaller as Barbies and would like to recycle and donate them to the Trashion Barbie program - we accept and thank you!If picking up, contact us to make arrangements for a Barbie Pick-up at the Sonoma Community Center, 276 E Napa Street : 707-938-4626 x4 or molly@sonomacommunitycenter.org. Barbies will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

2. Transform your doll into a NEW CREATIVE PIECE OF ART! Have fun. Be inventive. Interpret this anyway you like, but please use only recycled or repurposed materials and stick to wholesome imagery. NO GLITTER, please.

3. Pay entry fee: $25/per entry OR $40/two entries (Entry fees are non-refundable). You are invited to enter more than one doll. 4. Deliver your dolls to the center by Friday, March 31, 2023. Reclaimed and reinvented dolls and all doll-based accessories must be received by 5:00pm to be included in the exhibit. Rules of Participation: ● All dolls must be delivered/dropped off to the Sonoma Community Center by March 11 to be included in the exhibit. We accept entries from anywhere in the world! ● If you want to transform your own Barbie doll you must still apply and pay the entry fee. ● All dolls must be for sale. Unsold dolls revert to the artist and available May 2, 2023.. ● Artists must be willing to give the Sonoma Community Center permission to photograph their work for publicity purposes. ● The Barbie: Reclaimed & Reinvented exhibit is a silent auction. All proceeds benefit the Center’s educational programs. ● Sonoma Community Center reserves the right to decline participation in the exhibit for any reason deemed necessary. ● For inspiration check out: www.pinterest.com/mymailsoverhere/barbie-ideas/
