The ideal candidate for this full-time position will be a self-starter who is comfortable in an extremely close-knit, team-oriented setting, open to self-examination, and willing to learn on the job. Successful candidates will have an ability to prioritize workflow, meet deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and be solutions-oriented. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills – to both internal and external audiences.
This position reports to the Executive Director with the goal of reaching/surpassing Board-set fundraising goals for the fiscal year and laying the groundwork for a successful 50th anniversary fundraising campaign in the 2018-19 school year. The Development Manager is responsible for assisting in all areas of development related to the identification, cultivation and solicitation of individual donors and related database management and tracking.
Commitment:
Full-time; 40 hours per week; working remotely and flexible hours are negotiable, but in-person meetings and work will also be required); with health benefits
SFArtsED Background
SFArtsED is a 49-year-old nonprofit arts education organization serving K-12 students in San Francisco. Each year we work with some 8,000 students through artist-in-residence programs in the public schools, after-school/weekend programs, art summer camp and exhibitions/workshops at our Minnesota Street Project art studio/gallery. All programs stem from our mission to provide participatory arts experiences to the children of San Francisco alongside some of the greatest artists in the Bay Area.
