The Village Builders are PlaceMakers and Artists, Activists and Community Builders.

We have hosted many events surrounding building community and creative placemaking in Sonoma County. Our largest events to date have been the 10 day long Sebastopol Village Building Convergences (VBC). In the VBC process people brainstorm ideas to improve the places they live as well as the common spaces that we collectively inhabit. We help individuals and organizations develop their designs and get permits and approvals if necessary, then the community comes out as a fun work party and transforms the space into a special place.

We are passionate about all forms of community building and are always looking forward to the next project!
