Creative North Group is a collective of independent artists, writers, and communications strategists working as community activists to fuel the written, visual and performing arts in West County.

Seeded with the generous help from Creative Sonoma, CNG’s newest project, the FLATBED MUSIC FESTIVAL, (originally slated for June of 2020) is moving down the road to new dates when limitations on live music gatherings are lifted.

The Flatbed features Sonoma-grown, independent musical artists who perform on multiple stages over three days.   This intimate festival bonds the community, saturating the streets of the farm town of Sebastopol while bleeding into the back roads of West County.  With over twenty performances, the Flatbed will reach out further to embrace the uniqueness of West County through oral history recordings and tours of legendary recording studios.

Play It Forward Music School is the fiscal sponsor of the festival.  Through sponsorships, grants and ticket sales of the Flatbed, this non-profit will be able to expand on their mission to provide free musical instruments, free private lessons and creative programs devoted to serve those music students with limited resources in our community.
