Becoming Independent (BI) helps people with developmental disabilities live meaningful and productive lives.  At BI, we realize that creative expression is an integral part of the human experience.  The BI Professional Art Program fulfills this commitment to exploring and developing personal creativity by providing artists with inspiration, instruction, encouragement, and opportunities for exhibitions and sales.

• Focused art classes, which include – art history, photography, painting, graphic design, ceramics, animation, and much more.

• Participation in local and national art exhibits

In October of 2016 we acquired a studio/gallery space at Fulton Crossing Artist Studios.  We are thrilled for this opportunity for our artists to be able to work side by side with other local artists.  BI’s professional artists, as well as other individuals active in BI’s Innovative Education program, will be able to use this as a community access spot to expand their creative passions.  Fulton Crossing affords BI a space for art sales, special events, and is at the center of Sonoma County’s vibrant art culture.
