La Luz Center is a Family Resource Center (FRC) that has served Sonoma Valley’s most vulnerable families for 36 years by strengthening community through family services, economic advancement, and community engagement.
We serve 87% of Sonoma Valley’s Latinx population, making us the premier place for families seeking assistance in managing and improving their lives and, as a result, are a trusted provider of community-based services. We provide family strengthening services, parent-child education programming, mental and behavioral health counseling, crisis counseling, civic engagement opportunities, English language training, employment counseling, construction training certification, financial/housing support, computer education, citizenship classes, small business development and lending, food distribution, medical services, legal and immigration services, and multicultural event programming.
Our Response to COVID-19 :
Since COVID-19 upended our community, La Luz Center has been responding as a designated “essential business” by the County of Sonoma. We have supported in vital information dissemination, mask distributions, registering and hosting testing and vaccine clinics.
