Experiments and Techniques in Mixed Media Painting

Students will receive practical techniques on how to use mixed media tools and techniques and receive the opportunity to play with a variety of materials. Participants will also be exposed to inspiring artworks and learn some of the key recipe’s in these inspirational works of art.

For the last few years I have been obsessed with highlighting the intricate textures found in plants, to do this I’ve experimented with adhesives, paints, varnishes, acrylic medium, rice paper and more. Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own materials; specific techniques will require specific materials, please contact me 2 weeks in advance for a materials list if you wish to bring your own. Feel free to come with ideas of what kind of effects you would like to create in your painting.
