Student Arts Spotlight

Student Arts Spotlight shares the good news of the arts making a difference in students’ lives in a monthly feature. The Sonoma County Arts Education Alliance is pleased to share the West County High School Music Program for December 2021. The West County High School Music Program features concert bands, a jazz band, pep band, marching band, honors band, and choir as well as the only school in the area to offer a full symphonic orchestra. Congratulations!

LEARN  MARIACHI! Coming in February!

Calling all local music teachers, professional musicians, singers, choir directors, and college students majoring in Music Ed! Join the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in an inspiring, engaging, and interactive experience working with and learning from Music Specialist José Soto. Along with advanced students in the Center’s year-round mariachi program, participants will explore, learn, and play the unique styles of a mariachi. Learn more HERE

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy Presentation on the Healing Power of the Arts

Partnerships with four national arts education organizations are focusing on ways to incorporate best practices of arts education content, instruction, and leadership.
