CALL TO PERFORMERS: Help Envision a New Performance Space in Petaluma
CALLING SONOMA COUNTY PERFORMING ARTISTS!!!
Thursday, March 12, 6PM at 417 Western Avenue, Petaluma CA
The Polly Klaas Foundation, in partnership with the City of Petaluma, and Community Leaders, is renovating the Polly Klaas Theater, named for Polly in 1994. It took two decades for the right partners to join the fundraising effort to renovate the 99-seat theater and open its doors as a resource for our region.
This is a unique opportunity for performing artists to look inside the beautiful space, in its pre-renovated form, and imagine YOUR use of the theater – What would you like to present? Would you like to develop an after-school workshop for local youth? Do you have a theater company that needs a home? Have you been looking to expand to South County? How can we, as a performing arts community, create a vital resource and explore everything from new ideas, to classic works in this space?
Please join us, Thursday, March 12, 6:00PM – 8:30PM, at the Polly Klaas Community Theater located at 417 Western Street – (Parking available behind the theater at City Hall on English Street)
This will be a facilitated meeting to explore possibilities, including various forms of performing arts that would work in this space, and capture the desires and capacities of the performing artist community. Pizza and water will be provided — or bring your own brown-bag dinner.
Please RSVP by March 9 to Raine@PollyKlaas.org to reserve your seat! Be sure to include:
- Number of guests
- Type of performing artist
We look forward to seeing you there!!!
