CALL TO ARTISTS: Lead Image Search
Bay Area Arts Crisis Navigator Lead Image Search
The Bay Area Arts Crisis Navigator (“Navigator”), an initiative of the Hewlett Foundation Performing Arts Program, is a biweekly email newsletter providing a carefully curated set of resources and advice for artists and small arts organizations to help them find their way through the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information about the Navigator, visit: https://hewlett.org/navigator/
To better reflect the identities and experiences of artists and small arts organizations based in the 11-county Bay Area, the initiative is currently looking for images to include as the lead image for future Navigator emails, and will compensate contributing artists a total of $500 as a licensing fee for each image, which will be used for a single Navigator email, as well as social promotion of that single email and in the archived version of that email on the Hewlett Foundation website. We will, of course, credit the photographer and any artist or artists whose work is depicted in the photo in the email itself.
Approx. 15 images will be selected as lead image for Navigator emails from now through December 2020. We will reach out to selected artists as needed. For those whose images are not selected, you will receive a response by December 2020, if not sooner.
