JOB OPPORTUNITY: Assistant Front of House Manager
The Green Music Center (GMC) is a division of Sonoma State.

Reporting to the and under the supervision of the Front of House Manager, the Assistant Front of House Manager provides management and guidance for Green Music Center events ensuring an efficient and enjoyable crowd management environment and audience while ensuring the safety of the public at all times, and supervises staff consisting of student and volunteer personnel. The incumbent is responsible for working closely with the Front of House Manager, Sonoma State and Green Music Center staff, box office, student ushers, ticket takers, coat room attendants, and production personnel to ensure the highest quality house operations while upholding a world-class level of customer service.
This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in front of house management in a performance venue, including one to two years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience. Bachelor’s degree in the arts, humanities, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Experience and understanding of the procedures and practices of performing arts management within higher education highly preferred. Experience with the operations of a wide range of performing arts events is required. Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Suite required. A working knowledge of all aspects of personnel management, budgeting, scheduling, technical production in performing arts disciplines, and at multiple stages of the theatrical creative process, in a range of venues, from large-scale to black box is highly preferred. Spanish speaking preferred.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and will not exceed $4,334 a month. This position is a member of the Management Personnel Plan and serves at the pleasure of the President.
