Child Parent Institute
Child Parent Institute’s Creative Arts programs provide high quality arts experiences for underserved children, youth, and families throughout Sonoma County. Our Creative Arts programs include an array of therapeutic, expressive, educational, and recreational activities and events in the areas of visual arts, theatre, music, movement, and more. These programs and activities are designed to strengthen social and emotional skills, boost self-esteem, and provide critical tools that yield lifelong benefits for participants.
The Creative Arts team provides after-school groups, summer camps, in-school performances and workshops, family engagement activities, and community outreach and education. Many of our participants have been impacted by challenging experiences early in life, including toxic stress, special needs, and trauma. CPI’s Creative Arts team, in addition to contributing their professional artistic skills and expertise, are trained in trauma-informed care, strengths-based practice, and building protective factors that strengthen families and communities.
