Sonoma County is home to more than 200 non-profit arts organizations along with 100s of other creative enterprises who work every day to enrich our lives with exhibits, performances, readings, happenings.  Sometimes, they are caretakers of our collective cultural identity.  Sometimes they are tour guides, leading us on an exploration into uncharted emotional waters.  And always, they are the critical threads that tie together the fabric of our creative community.  Browse this ever-growing gathering of our creative eco-system for ideas and opportunities.

Sirens Studio for Youth and the Arts
Sirens Studio For Youth And The Arts Adult Arts Education, Dance, Education, Music, Nonprofit, Performing Arts, Special Events, Youth Arts Education ­Sirens Studio and Theater is an eclectic art center located in beautiful Sebastopol, California. Home to a variety of events, classes, and other group gatherings, Sirens is a wonderful and an important part of our community, offering people the chance to cultivate and expand their understanding and appreciation of the arts, especially dance and music. Artist and community activist TerriAnne Gutierrez established Sirens Studio in 2001 We create, produce, present, and teach; *multicultural dance *theater *music Engaging a diverse group of Sonoma County and Bay Area artists, audiences, and students. Many racially mixed, and culturally specific ensembles consider Sirens Studio & Theater their artistic home, creating a thriving inter-generational community. Sirens is a non-profit 501©3 organization and over the past 15 years our programs and numerous activities have contributed to community development, stability and access to creative art making.  Presenting, co-presenting, scholarship, work exchange, apprentice, sponsorship and more are all here to serve the large dance, music and theater communities in Sonoma County and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Small Hat
Small Hat Music

Delivering their unique sound of alternative blues rock, Small Hat features family members Mandy Brooks, Cosmos, and Zoz, along with various special guests.  Small Hat has been awarded for their songwriting with their first EP debuting in 2018. Mandy Brooks was awarded Female Artist of the Year by the Josie Music Awards 2018, and in 2019, Small Hat was nominated in multiple categories.

With the intention to inspire and connect with their audience, Small Hat is available and enjoys playing everything from "Unplugged" intimate house concerts and Coffee Houses to full electric shows at concert halls and festivals. Based out of Northern California, Small Hat also enjoys touring nationally.

SoCo Music Coalition is a 501(c)3 non-profit music education center. We are a group of experienced musicians, teachers, and business professionals who wish to provide all Sonoma County kids with the opportunity to learn to play music, regardless of their circumstances.
Sonoma Bach
Sonoma Bach Creative Sonoma Grantee, Holidays Shop Local, Music, Nonprofit, Performing Arts Membership or Season Tickets Sonoma Bach’s mission is to bring together and nurture a community of music-lovers in our beloved Sonoma region to share in the magnificent experience of early music. We know that this music from the distant past—sacred and worldly, vocal and instrumental, solemn and joyful—can speak powerfully to today’s audiences, and we reach out not only to those already familiar with its pleasures and beauties and traditions, but also to those for whom the music is brand-new. ​Our resident ensembles—including three vocal ensembles and our period-instrument orchestra—prepare and perform an annual series of eight concert sets, featuring the finest repertoire presented in imaginative programs designed to bring to life the magic of the music and to connect compellingly with our audiences. Most of our concerts take place in the Green Music Center’s 240-seat Schroeder Hall, with its live acoustics, intimate audience experience, and wonderful Brombaugh pipe organ. In addition, we offer site-specific concerts designed for special places in Sonoma County, such as our annual concerts in the domed and frescoed Church of St. Seraphim. Sonoma Bach offers a variety of opportunities for learning and exploration for singers, instrumentalists and listeners alike. Our classes, workshops and lectures focus upon four broad areas: Individual skills (such as vocal technique and sight-reading); ensemble skills; knowledge of repertoire; and ‘the big picture’: What does it all mean, and how can I connect? We believe passionately in the power of music to bring people together, to help us work through life’s challenges, and to serve as a catalyst for positive change. When people make music with and for each other—with skill, with style, with love—we believe that our world becomes better. Sonoma Bach is proud to have been serving our community since 1991 through this essential activity of music-making, and we look forward eagerly to continuing our efforts for many years to come.

Originally built as the Sonoma Grammar School in 1916, the Community Center was incorporated as a public benefit 501(c)3 organization in 1952, and is listed on the National Register for Historic Places. Today, the mission of the Sonoma Community Center is to cultivate a vibrant community through extraordinary creative, cultural, and learning experiences. Driven by values of community, innovation, creativity, inclusion, and leadership, the Center offers a broad range of programs, events, and performances that encourage people from all walks of life to create, connect, thrive, and build community together. We offer over 200 classes annually in ceramics, fine art, fiber art, music, movement, culinary arts, and writing. We also host an Artist-in-Residence program that attracts expert artists to work and teach at the Center. On campus, we house and maintain valued partnerships with the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance, Crescent Montessori School, the Sonoma International Film Festival, Valley of the Moon Magazine, and Sonoma Arts Live, our theater production partner. Our Andrews Hall Theater offers a year-round schedule of films, live music, theater performances, and more for audiences of all ages. We host a variety of creative community events throughout the year, including our annual Día de los Muertos celebration in early November, and our free Thanksgiving Dinner, a valued community tradition for decades now. The Center is also an integral part of the City of Sonoma’s emergency preparedness plans; we serve on the City’s Disaster Council, and serve as the Emergency Volunteer Center for the City of Sonoma during local disasters and other emergencies.

Sonoma County Dance Beat Dance, Education, Music, Nonprofit Sonoma County Dance Beat, created in 2014 by local dancers, Kevin and Ann Hutchinson, to provide a comprehensive calendar for dancers to find live dance music in Sonoma County, has grown into a multi-faceted organization serving musicians, venues, dancers and music lovers by supporting live music in Sonoma County through a variety of services. Services include talent buying, marketing consulting for venues and musicians, dance instruction and demos at live music events, stage-presence coaching, choreography for music videos, advocacy and education, and so much more.

SCT is dedicated to supporting the ARTS through advocacy, research, scholarship, and community partnerships. SCT provides immersion in creative arts, theatre, dance, literature, public speaking, community engagement, and leadership. Our supportive environment encourages self discipline, problem solving, taking risks, meeting challenges, and teamwork. SCT strives to enhance the quality of life in the North Bay by presenting imaginative, diverse, artistic experiences for the community through education, events, civic participation, and performance.  Coming soon to downtown Santa Rosa!
Taylor 'Libby' Cuffie Music
Taylor 'Libby' Cuffie Music Music, Performing Arts TAYLOR 'LIBBY' CUFFIE Has been playing drum set and percussion since 2010. Participated in four different ensembles at Bellarmine: Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Pep Band. Received “Most Outstanding Musician” award in 2012. Played for the Praise Band at St. Stephen’s in the Fields Episcopal Church in San Jose, CA from 2010-2012. At Sonoma State, has participated in many school ensembles: Latin Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra, Contemporary Ensemble, Horace Silver Ensemble, The Alchemy Quartet, and The Ornette Coleman Ensemble. In recent years, has performed extensively with a plethora of North Bay musicians and groups including The Dixie Giants, The Crux, Buck Thrifty, Oddjob Ensemble, and Sharkmouth. Has also played with: Ken Cook, Douglas Miller, Adam Theiss, The Rainbow Girls, ODELL, Kasey Knudsen, Doug Leibinger, Dave Scott, and Nate Lopez. Has also performed with jazz trios and quartets in cafés, private properties, and also for Lagunitas Brewing Company in Sonoma County. “Taylor plays drums with the sensitivity and dialogue of a musician ahead of his age. His dedication to his craft is apparent in all aspects of his life and is a rare thing today amongst young musicians,” John Courage

The Arlene Francis Center For Spirit, Art And Politics Dance, Education, Film/Video, Foundation, Literature/Poetry, Media, Music, Nonprofit, Performing Arts, Special Events, Theatre, Visual Arts Founded in 2008, the Arlene Francis Center for Spirit, Art and Politics' objective has been to create a spiritual progressive space that links art, music, theater, film, poetry, education and community action with the creation of a more loving and socially connected world. All of our events reflect our spiritual-political vision, and our aim is to create a unique, receptive, heartfelt, authentic Presence that is capable of radiating an influence reflective of our common vision in Sonoma County, and across Northern California, and the wider world through the internet and word-of-mouth. The AFC: An Innovative Center for Social Change The Arlene Francis Center for Spirit, Art and Politics is an innovative project for many reasons. These include our philosophical approach to community building and social change, our physical presence and our cultural, educational and activist programming. First, there is our philosophy of "Spiritual Activism" which guides our action. Spiritual Activism is the term we have given to the vision of social change -- a vision that emphasizes the link between social activism and the creation of an authentic, socially and ecologically connected community. Second, to carry out our vision, we are lucky to have a remarkable building that was originally a flour mill in the 19th century and has gone through a number of incarnations since then, eventually serving as a brewery and winery in the 198o's and early 1990's. The Arlene Francis Foundation acquired the building in 1996 for the purpose of providing educational and cultural activities to benefit Sonoma County, and from 1997-2008 the Foundation partnered with San Francisco's progressive New College of California to offer bachelor's and master's degrees in Culture, Ecology, and Sustainable Community. Finally, with our presence and programs, we have created a positive reputation and relationship with the local community and beyond. The Arlene has repeatedly been honored as The Best Damn Place in Santa Rosa by the local alternative paper The Bohemian, and Martin Hamilton and the Arlene Francis Center were given a Boho Award for making significant contribution to the arts in the North Bay. The Arlene Francis Center for Spirit, Art, & Politics seeks to be a wonderful synthesis of artistic, educational, spiritual and cultural projects that will contribute significantly to the social and political life of Santa Rosa and the surrounding area. Our aim in designing the Center has been to avoid creating a smorgasbord of well-meaning progressive activities, each operating under its own unstated assumptions about how best to achieve positive change. Instead, we have sought to explicitly articulate a unifying vision that joins all our activities as a multi­-faceted expression of our mission and philosophy. We are convinced that lasting social change adequate to the challenges facing humanity at this moment will only be achieved through transforming human relationships so as to overcome the fear that divides us and enables us to become present to each other in a new and affirming way.
The Cotati Accordion Festival
The Cotati Accordion Festival Dance, Festivals/Markets, Fine Crafts, Food/Drink, Kids/Family, Music, Nonprofit, Performing Arts, School On August 16, 17, 18, 2019, The Cotati Accordion Festival, now in its 29th year provides quality accordion entertainment while also providing much needed donations to our local youth groups. We host over 40 acts on 7 stages with 70 or more vendors. Music is continuous from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM both days. ZYDECO DANCING FROM NOON TO DUSK BOTH DAYS. I guarantee if you come once, you will come again. This isn't your grandmothers' accordion event. LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!
The Petaluma Chorale
The Petaluma Chorale Music, Nonprofit, Performing Arts The Petaluma Chorale is a mixed vocal ensemble dedicated to the art of superior choral singing including, formal, jazz, Broadway and other contemporary styles. Our director is Linda Evans Manuilow, with accompanist Miles McKenzie. We work in 16 week sessions in the fall and spring culminating in at least two performances per session. We rehearse in Cram Hall, St Johns Episcopal Church in Petaluma.
Tika & the MoonShines
Tika & The MoonShines Music, Performing Arts Tika & the Moonshines are a North Bay band led by Tika Moon.  They  tackle some of the most difficult and fun songs from the 1930’s to the present.  Tika & the Moonshines cover many popular songs in a variety of genres: Rock, Pop, County, Americana, Folk, Blues & Jazz. With powerhouse vocals and tight harmonies, Tika & the Moonshines bring you the songs you remember and love, along with many original songs. With such a huge variety of tunes, there is bound to be something for everyone to enjoy. Tika and the Moonshines have an authentic chemistry and joy that is apparent in all their performances.  Tika Moon heads up the Moonshines on lead vocals and rhythm guitar. She is backed by some stellar musicians and an all around wonderful group of people.  Starting in November of 2022, Tika has added new performers and filled out the band to accommodate larger gigs with Alan Roter on lead guitar and vocals,  Liz Fanora on keys & vocals, Molly Larsen-Shine on vocals,  Tyler Crowley on drums, and Nappi Madrid on bass.  
Tika Moon - singer/songwriter
Tika Moon - Singer/songwriter Music Tika Moon is a Bay Area performer (singer, actor, and musician) performing in this area since 1996. Inspired by many different genres, Tika makes classic hit songs into her own renditions, as well as writing her own original songs about dating, life, Chinese Food, and Female empowerment. Her influences are shown in her theatricality and comedy as she harnesses the likes of the Flight of The Conchords, Tenacious D and Phoebe from Friends. Tika Moon is a trained professional singer with an emphasis in theatre, dance, flute and guitar.  Tika can seamlessly go from jazz, to blues, to belting out a rock song or sweetly singing "Are You Lonesone Tonight". With almost 30 years of performing experience, she has an almost 3 octave range and sings a variety of genres of music.  She has her own style which  has been influenced by jazz, blues, pop, rock, Americana and country. Performing a variety of unique cover songs and original songs,  solo or with her band the Moon-Shines. Tika sometimes performs with her group, Tika and The Moon-Shines, featuring Molly Larsen-Shine on background vocals and sometimes features other local artists as well. In her spare time, Tika performs locally in Community Theatre as well as sings at Senior Living Facilities,  Convalescent and Memory Care Centers and also just started a regular podcast- called the Tika & Thego Podcast,  where they talk about life, politics, movies, music, history and TV all while learning a thing or two and laughing all the while. Up Street Music Patrons
Up Street Music Patrons Kids/Family, Music, Nonprofit, Performing Arts, Theatre, Visual Arts Funding music education, and providing musical opportunities to adults and children for personal and cultural enrichment. Up Street Music Patrons strives to provide tuition assistance for music lessons and musical theater workshops to people who would not otherwise be able to participate. We also award college scholarships to Sonoma County students pursuing a degree in a music discipline.
Valley of the Moon Music Festival
Valley Of The Moon Music Festival Education, Festivals/Markets, Holidays Shop Local, Music, Nonprofit, Performing Arts Membership or Season Tickets, Special Events The mission of the Valley of the Moon Music Festival is to bring the unique sound of Classical, Romantic and post-Romantic chamber music on period instruments to audiences in Sonoma and beyond, and to expand the horizons of up-and-coming chamber musicians in our Apprenticeship and TANK Trust Laureate Programs. Each July, in the town of Sonoma, in a series of concerts over three weekends, we bring an international roster of experts in period performance together with highly talented emerging artists to bring a familiar repertoire into a brilliant new light. The concert experience is enhanced by the very popular Blattner Lecture Series that puts the listening experience into historical and cultural perspective. In our Apprentice and TANK Trust Laureate Programs, we mentor emerging musicians, helping to ensure that period performance of Classical and Romantic music will continue to delight audiences far into the future. Our Festival was conceived and born in Sonoma, and Sonoma is at the center of our artistic efforts. We are honored to have a thriving and ongoing relationship with the local community through partnerships with local businesses, other non-profits, and community leaders.
Valley Vibes Youth Orchestra
Valley Vibes Youth Orchestra Creative Sonoma Grantee, Education, Music, Nonprofit, School, Youth Arts Education Valley Vibes Orchestra is a youth enrichment program with a mission to change lives through music. Through learning and making music together, we inspire our members to believe that everyone has the power to change their life and succeed. Every school day youth in grades K-12 meet after school and participate in two hours of intensive, ensemble-based music lessons. Open to all students in Sonoma Valley, we are especially proud to offer our program to students who would not have the opportunity otherwise and currently 80% of our members come from low income households. Beyond engaging youth in building musical proficiency, ViVO is a youth development program based on best research-based practices. ViVO’s objectives are to foster (1) a sense of belonging and confidence; (2) youth voice and leadership ; (3) building skills and mastery in music ; and (4) community involvement and contribution. As such, our goals for ViVO members are not only to become proficient and engaged musicians, but also to develop life and social-emotional skills to succeed in school, community and life.

Onye Onyemaechi, MBA is the founding director of Village Rhythms, a visionary author, advisor, inspirational speaker and world performer. He brings the soul of African Culture to create and teach a blend of the best of traditional culture and modern life styles to individuals, schools, museums, academic institutions and organizations and the world. Onye is recognized as a pioneer in using music, culture and spirituality building diverse communities together and as a tool for personal and  societal transformation. His seminars and consulting have improved hundreds of lives and organizations. He is a celebrated recording artist, performer, producer and composer.
