Santa Rosa Players DBA 6th Street Playhouse
The Santa Rosa Players DBA 6th Street Playhouse has a long history with Santa Rosa and has for over fifty years provides live theatrical entertainment for the surrounding community. The Playhouse is a venue consisting of two theaters. The GK Hardt Stage is a 184 seat theater that caters to Broadway style musicals and plays. The Monroe Stage is a more intimate Black Box three sided theater of 99 seats that features smaller comedies and dramas and is one of the most exciting venues to see a performance. The Mainstage and Black Box performances are presented throughout the year and total over 170 in one season.
The 6th Street Playhouse also offers classes to adults, teens and youth interested in following the creative arts and developing theatrical skills. Over 300 students learn stage presence, song, dance, and stagecraft that includes technical sound, lighting, set design, and costume making. All students are given an opportunity to perform on either of our two public stages during a season’s consisting seven student productions.
COVID-19 UPDATES & INFORMATION
The Playhouse invested in a state of art air filtering system similar to ones the hospital use. Masks can be worn but are not required.
There are no longer and other Covid procedures in place but will abide by County Health rules should they need to be enforced
